The owner contacted Walker Restoration Consultants seeking turret and oriel window repairs.
Before restoration, the turret had cracked; there was broken brickwork, open masonry joints, failing turret roofing, and waterproofing was needed. The oriel window assembly had water infiltration, deteriorated wood joists, damaged wood framing, and exterior sheathing.
Walker Restoration provided an assessment of the current condition and developed a recommended strategy for repair that is consistent with the LPC guidelines.
Walker also filed and obtained an LPC Permit for Minor Work (PMW), Certificate of No Effect (CNE), and NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) Alteration Type-2 Permit. In addition, Walker oversaw construction administration throughout the project.
Walker Restoration Consultants helps owners improve their properties through customized capital investment and maintenance programs. Compared to overhauls, renovations, or wholesale dismantling and reconstruction, Walker Restoration Consultants’ services represent a substantially smaller investment in time and money, and are less disruptive.
