Southwest Transit Bus Garage Air Conditioning Assessment

Southwest Transit wanted to add mechanical air conditioning to their bus maintenance garage to replace portable units. The portable air conditioners weren't energy efficient, took valuable floor space, and required time to move them between working locations. This new air conditioning system was required to be independent of existing heating systems yet tied into the existing control system. Mechanical units that required additional lead times were expedited to shorten the project duration. Walker provided the design for structural and building envelope modifications. The client was impressed with the minimal effort required by their project manager and the speed of the installation.
